2011

April 6, 2011 - HTML5 & Mobile Thanks to a good friend of mine, Scott Smith, this site is being converted away from the old table-based layout to a fresh HTML5 & CSS layout. Same basic look, just fresher.

The site also has a mobile interface, so those of you on mobile phones don't have to squint anymore.

2009

February 1, 2009 - This is What's New Sometimes I forget that if you're continually adding to or updating a website, if no one knows you are, it's almost as if you're not doing anything. I always know what I just added, but to let everyone else know, I've added a What's New section to RESRC. This will be a handy way to show newcomers that this site has been around for a long time and is still growing.

January 24, 2009 - Search RESRC It's still in the early stages, but today I've added Search RESRC which is an implementation of Google Custom Search which will allow me to not only offer the ability to search the RESRC site itself, but will also (eventually) allow me to offer a search of the actual websites of those resources listed on here. That way you'll be able to search across the wealth of information they host on their websites.

2008

July 23, 2008 - More RESRCful I launched a new site... well, new code, new design and new URL. I moved/updated resources.firmlist.com to www.resrc.com.

2003

December 8, 2003 - Subdomain Set-Up Set up the resources.firmlist.com subdomain and started moving all of the new media resources over to this new subdomain. This should make it easier to manage and find relevant new media resources from around the world.

2001

May 22, 2001 - Regional New Media Resources Finished adding the regional resource listings to The Firm List. Now you can view various new media resources for whichever region you happen to be in or you can view the resources for an entire continent at one time.

February 24, 2001 - Massachusetts Resources Resources have been added to the Massachusetts listings on The Firm List.

January 21, 2001 - Regional Resources Over time I have been getting more and more emails and interest from web design/development professionals who are using The Firm List to keep track of what's going on in the industry as well as a resource to help them in their job hunts. I've heard from many designers as well as firms who tell me about finding the right career match through the site.

To address this audience, I am in the process of expanding the resources sections of the site. Moving from a simple, worldwide resource section, I am now focusing on strengthening the regional resource listings. The New York region is the first to have this resource section and that will continue to grow as well as the addition of more resources.

2000

May 11, 2000 - New Project in the Works I'm in the process of developing a section of the site for New Media recruiters and talent agencies to list themselves as well as post/solicit or postions.
